Actor Varun Sharma believes in going with the flow and taking one film at a time. In the process, he doesn’t really get bothered if he gets typecast for the kind of roles he does. With films such as Fukrey, Dolly Ki Doli, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karun and Dilwale, the 26-year-old has mostly done lighter and comic roles.

Typecast is a very strong word. I might just end up do a particular zone or genre for a long time,” says Varun.
Varun, who started off as a theatre actor doing hard core serious roles drama says, “I never thought in my life that I could do comedy and make people laugh. But when audience started to like and appreciate my performance, I also began liking my work. It seems like people love my fatal smile and that reaction is priceless.”
Stating that comedy will always remain close to his heart, the actor adds, “I will never stop doing this genre. It has given me appreciation and evolved me as an actor. It has been my main genre and strength so far. Of course I have to grow and try variety, so let’s hope I get different kind of films soon.”
Ask him what if an action films comes his way and the actor laughs, “It’s too tough for people to fight with me. I think they’ll look at me, smile and give me a hug. I don’t feel someone getting beaten by me would really look good on-screen at this moment.”
