Looks like Abhishek Bachchan is the latest Bollywood star to have developed a penchant for working out. The actor, who is presently in Dubai shooting for choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan’s next, Happy New Year (HNY), has taken his personal trainer along on his outdoor schedule.

Abhishek started working out under trainer Prashant Sawant’s supervision while shooting for Dhoom:3, the third part of his action- thriller series. “Abhishek had worked out for months with Prashant and wanted to continue doing that even after the shoot got over. He had six days of training left before he left for Dubai. He completed that and decided to take Prashant along so that he could keep at his physical training regimen throughout his shoot there,” says a source close to the actor.

So, will we get to see a more buff Abhishek in his next films? “More than weight-training, his focus is on staying fit. He is concentrating a lot more on exercises aimed towards that,” says the source. The actor is shooting with Shah Rukh Khan for Farah’s film, where the latter plays the lead. Abhishek has another 15 days left for this schedule of the film’s shoot in Dubai.

While Abhishek remained unavailable to divulge more details about his fitness regimen, his spokesperson confirms this development and says, “Despite having a packed schedule, Abhishek is doing everything to ensure that his fitness regimen is not compromised. He has flown down his trainer Prashant to Dubai so that he can train whenever time permits during the course of the HNY shoot.”
