It is her debut film, and it has on board with big names such as Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. But, model-turned-actor Monikangana Dutta says Guzaarish is no dream debut. “It is an ideal debut, but I won’t say it was a dream. Dreams are bigger,” she says. That said, she admits that “it was a wonderful experience.”

Dutta admits she didn’t always have her eyes set on Bollywood. “I received lot of offers... but I only wanted the best. I was not even looking at Bollywood. Some people get into it for money or fame, but I have all that. For me, it was different. Sanjay Bhansali saw my pictures, called up and gave me the role. I didn’t have to audition,” she says.

The actor’s steamy love scenes have been a hot topic of discussion for a while now.

Apparently, Bhansali kept her away from the media glare to keep attention away from these scenes. Mention this and she says, “Even I don’t know why I am such a secret. I am playing Hrithik’s love interest in the film — that is all I can say.” Ask about her kissing scenes in the flick, and she laughs, “This is the reason Bhansali has been hiding me. No controversies, please... everything is so beautifully shot. You will get to see something different in the scenes.” Reports also claimed that Hrithik’s wife Sussanne called her to ensure she was comfortable during the scenes. “No controversies!” is all the actor says in response.

Asked if she fears that Ash may overshadow her in the film, Dutta says, “I have grown up watching Ash. There is only something to learn (from her). Ash is very welcoming, warm and a lovely person.
