Though Mithun Chakraborty’s son, Mahaakshay, made his Bollywood debut with Jimmy (2008), it was Vikram Bhatt’s Haunted 3D (2011) that got him recognition among the audience and the critics. However, in spite of the appreciation received, the actor won’t be a part of the sequel to the 2011 film.
Vikram, who is currently working on the script, confirms that he no plans to cast Mahaakshay in the sequel. “Haunted 2 should go on floors by the end of the year. But, it won’t have Mahaakshay. Instead, the sequel will have new actors,” says Vikram.
The actor, however, is not disheartened with this development. In fact, he is grateful to the director for giving him a chance to be a part of the prequel. “Vikram is my saviour. Haunted 3D became successful and gave me a new position in the industry. I have had a great time working for the film and it is a great memory,” says Mahaakshay, adding, “I would love to be a part Haunted 2. But, it all depends on the makers.”
