Actor Rahul Bhat is portraying two different politicians in his two upcoming films. However, he rubbishes the buzz that the characters are inspired from real life politicians Rahul Gandhi or Bilawal Bhutto. "Yes, I am playing a politician’s son in Sudhir Mishra’s next, Aur Devdas, which is based out of Uttar Pradesh. But it’s not Rahul Gandhi. The film is a modern take on Devdas," says Bhat, who in real life happens to be the son-in-law of a veteran politician.

"And strangely, people are comparing me to Bilawal Bhutto in my other film, in which I play a Pakistani politician’s heir apparent," adds Bhat, who will be seen sharing screen space with Katrina Kaif in this Abhishek Kapoor directorial.

While the actor agrees that people will draw parallels, he doesn’t want to bother about all this right now as he is enjoying a "great career phase". "Things have become beautiful after Ugly released. I got critical acclaim and that brought me several good film scripts," he says.

And the disappointment of the past has started to fade. "Eight years ago, I had quit acting because I was not getting good work. I was disappointed but the wait has been worth it," says a content Bhat.
