Now, a chance to act with Sanjay Dutt
Actor Sanjay Dutt apparently plans to give Super Fight League champion a break in one of his upcoming films.
He is known to be a large-hearted and generous actor. Now, macho actor Sanjay Dutt apparently plans to give a new twist to his generosity. It’s believed that the Agneepath actor will give the winner of Super Fight League (SFL) a break in one of his upcoming films.
“Sanjay sir has mentioned in a friendly manner to all the fighters that he plans to launch the winner on the silver screen. This announcement will surely provide an added boost to all the participants currently training hard in Nashik,” says an insider from the training team.
SFL is the brainchild of Dutt and actor Shilpa Shetty’s hubby Raj Kundra, and provides a platform for popularising mixed martial arts (MMA) in the country. The league will features Indian and international fighters. The first SFL event, being promoted by Sanjay and Raj’s company Super Fight Promotions, was announced a few days ago.
When contacted, Dutt says with a smile, “SFL, as a concept, is very close to my heart and I feel that MMA needs recognition in our country and this is our endeavor. It’s a very tough sport and the winner of SFL will definitely be given his due credit.”
Incidentally, the actor has come onboard as the brand ambassador and co-investor of the project. “I’ve been watching MMA fights on TV for some time now. Then I started reading about it and I was surprised to discover that it includes so many forms, from wrestling and judo to taekwondo, kung fu and karate. There are about 36 of them,” says the actor, who is basking in the success of Agneepath and his character Kancha in it.
Besides SFL, rumours about Dutt planning to move out of his Pali Hill home to a bigger place in Bandra have also been making news. Ask the actor about it and he shoots back, “No, it’s not true. We aren’t even thinking about it. I am surprised how such talks start?”
