Big In Bollywood, a documentary on actor Omi Vaidya premiered at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles this weekend. Not just that, it even won the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the fest.

Big In Bollywood, a documentary on actor Omi Vaidya premiered at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles this weekend. Not just that, it even won the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the fest.



Made by Vaidya’s friends, Big In Bollywood is the story of the 27-year-old American-born struggling actor in LA, who miraculously lands himself a dream role in the Bollywood film, 3 Idiots.



During the release of this Aamir Khan film, four of Omi’s friends flew down to the city with cameras to capture his big premiere. Little did Omi Vaidyathey know that the film would become such a big hit. Set against the backdrop of Mumbai, the documentary hopes to tell the story of an actor and his life in show business, seen through the eyes of Vaidya’s friends, who witness his career transform firsthand.
