Actor Rana Daggubati has been a part of this industry for a decade now, but the actor considers only the last five years of his acting journey important, because those were the ones he spent as an actor. Earlier, the 30-year-old used to work on the visual effects of films. The actor says that he is grateful that the industry has been so warm to him all these years. “I have been a part of the industry for 10 years now. But I was behind the camera for the first five years and an actor for the next five years. I feel the way the industry has accepted me, and the way I have made a place for myself in the last five years as an actor matters. And I feel that the industry has accepted me well,” says Rana.

Meanwhile, the actor will be seen sharing screen space with actor Akshay Kumar in Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming film, and says that it was the realistic action sequences of the film that attracted him to it. “I have done commercial action films in the past. It is not like I am against those, but the realism in this film was what attracted me. We don’t get to do this kind of film very often,” says the actor, adding, “When you see the sequences, you will feel that something like this can happen in reality too.”

Rana, who’s been a part of films like Dum Maaro Dum (2011), Department (2012) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), has also been balancing his time with south films he’s got in his kitty. However, there are times when the actor finds it tough to balance both the film industries. “There are times when I am just not able to manage. There are times when I am in Bombay for one film and in the south for another. But I will try to manage as much as I can,” says the 30-year-old actor.
