Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur will begin shooting his new mega production Paani in November. “The movie is about water wars set in the world of the future; a mega city that has run out of the world’s most precious resource,” says Kapur, adding that he has completed the script and will be shooting the film in India and Singapore. Initially, Kapur’s project was set in 2040, but the director later decided to set it in the near future.
“The movie is about a city that divides itself into two; those who have water and those who don’t. If you are living in a country like India or China, you’d know what water crisis is,” says the Oscar nominated director.
