Ali Zafar has a huge fan following, not just Pakistan but also India. The actor, who is used to fans’ grand gestures, was left shaken up recently when a fan wrote a letter written in blood and tweeted the image to him.
The Pakistani star, who made his Bollywood debut with Tere Bin Laden in 2010 and later went on to do films such as Mere Brother Ki Dulhan(2011), London, Paris, New York (2012) and Kill Dill(2014), immediately replied to her tweet and requested her and all other fans to never resort to such methods to express their love.
“I never encourage fans to overdo these gestures. These things are just not worth it,” he says.
While the actor did not want to say anything more about the matter, a source close to him says, “While Ali is no stranger to receiving calls, messages or emails from fans... the letter in blood written by a female fan has really shocked him. He sent out a message to his fans on social media dissuading them from resorting to such measures and has even reached out to this particular fan, to explain to her in person, that her actions have caused him more pain than happiness.”
