Actor Jackky Bhagnani is all excited about his upcoming film, Youngistaan, where he plays a young Prime Minister. While many political dramas send unhappy waves down the political corridors, some even evoking objections, his film has managed to garner support from leaders across parties.

Recently, the young Shiv Sena leader, Aaditya Thackeray, also tweeted his support for the film, “Happened to see trailers of Youngistan! @jackkybhagnani it seems to give a fresh, cool n young look to politics, yet real! Much needed today sic),” Thackery posted on the microblogging site.

“It is great that he (Aaditya) tweeted about it. It means a lot, also because he did that out of his own accord. I haven’t met him, but I really admire his work. It’s a great moment for my film,” says Jackky.

And that’s not all the praise that the film is getting. “I recently met Milind Deora, a leader I find really impressive, and he also said such nice things. Then, there are others who are talking about it. I am really humbled by all this. You know, I am this small fish in the ocean but if the rushes of my film have made this impact already, I feel really grateful. After all, we all want our hardwork to be recognised,” says 29-year-old.

However, he also clarifies that the film doesn’t intend to preach, saying, “This film doesn’t say things like, desh ki halat kharab hai, yaar. Through this film, we are trying to say you have to be the change that you want to see,” says the F.A.L.T.U. actor, adding, “I hope people start thinking that politicians can be young and honest, just how Aditya has pointed out.”
