ABCD - Any Body Can Dance is set to be India’s first 3D dance film. The film, being directed by choreographer-director Remo D’Souza and produced by UTV Motion Pictures, stars winners from reality dance shows and ace choreographers like Prabhudheva and Ganesh Acharya. “The idea is to spread the message that dance is for everyone,” says Remo.
To promote the film, the director, along with his cast, is now preparing a 16-city tour in India. Their plan is to go to each city and set up a day-long dance workshop. Ask him about this and Remo says, “We thought of taking this initiative as we want to teach everyone how to dance. We will teach them different varieties and styles: popping and locking, hip-hop, Bollywood and others. This way, we are staying true to the film’s title and simultaneously promoting it.” The tour will start mid-December and will end on February 1.
A spokesperson from UTV Motion Pictures says, “The film is an underdog story with dance as its binding factor. We want to celebrate dance by organising these sessions with Remo and Prabhudheva.”
