Prateik and British model-actor Amy Jackson have been heating up rumour mills for being the new lovers on the block. The two are said to have come close while shooting for their upcoming film, Gautham Menon’s Ek Deewana Tha.

Now, Prateik and Amy, after several denials, have added a twist to their story. Last week, when they were informed that the music launch for their film would be conducted at the love memorial Taj Mahal, the actors were jumping with excitement. They requested the producers instantly for time to stay back at Agra and have a guided tour of the iconic marble structure.

“Prateik and Amy have not visited the Taj before. They feel it’s an ideal opportunity to see one of the most beautiful and romantic destinations in the world,” says a unit member of the film. When contacted, Vijay Singh, the producer of Ek Deewana Tha, confirms:

“Yes the entire young brigade including Prateik and Amy are staying back for a guided tour of the Taj Mahal.”

Talks of Prateik and Amy’s real life chemistry surfaced after they attended an award function together this year. Later it was reported that Prateik had also been helping Amy professionally. Reportedly, he has been introducing her to several industry persons. It’s also believed that whenever Amy is travelling out of Mumbai, Prateik makes it a point to drop her and pick her up from the airport.

The actors, however, have maintained they are good friends. “I moved from England to India with the primary focus of an acting career, and not my love life. No, we are not having an affair,” she had told HT Café a few days back.

Ek Deewana is the first film whose music will be launched at the white marble mausoleum. But music composer AR Rahman has not got permissions to perform live at the Taj Mahal.
