When it comes to supporting causes, some Bollywood celebs choose to use their star power and some quietly give it all they have.

Actor

John Abraham

firmly belongs to the latter category. "Even people close to me do not know how much I contribute towards causes that are close to my heart. But then, why should they know? I do it for the satisfaction it gives me as a human being, not for anything else," says the 41-year-old star, who has now become the face of Fever Voice of Change, an initiative by Fever 104FM to bring about a much needed transformation in our society.

"My mom does a lot of charity work. She has been doing it for years, especially in aid of cancer patients, and I fully support her. So when this opportunity of joining hands with something noble came my way, I thought it's a fabulous idea to follow in her footsteps."

"John is an ultimate youth icon... we couldn't have found a more responsible partner," says Harshad Jain, who heads the channel, adding that a whole gamut of issues centered around the message of ‘bakwaas nahi badlaav' will be addressed to bring about a positive change in peoples' lives.

We ask

John

if his wife, Priya Runchal, too shares his philanthropic side. "Priya is one of the best human beings I know. She belongs to a family that can buy-out many John Abrahams, but has absolutely no airs about her. I know I have her support firmly with me when it comes to my contribution to the society," he says.
