Raanjhanaa collects over 20 crore at box office during weekend

Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush-starrer Raanjhanaa has already collected over Rs 20 crore. The film, that started slow on Friday with an approximate opening of around 5 crore, picked up in the subsequent days.

After collecting approximetaly 5.12 crore, it managed a 6.81 crore Saturday, eventually hit jackpot with an estimated 8.15 crore on Sunday.

RaanjhanaaTrade analyst Taran Adarsh even tweeted about the 'superb jump'.

International response:
The film faired decently overseas as well. According to Adarsh, the film managed approximate $247,790 (Rs 1.47 crores) in USA and Canada. (This excluding several screens that were yet to report.

In UAE and GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council), Raanjhanaa scored around AED 524,000 (Rs 84.56 lakhs).

Raanjhanaa is southern star Dhanush's debut in Bollywood. The film also stars Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Swara Bhaskar and Zeeshan Ayub.
