Actor Shah Rukh Khan revealed the first trailer of his much-awaited Raees at a grand event in Mumbai on Wednesday afternoon.

Starring Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles, Raees has SRK playing the titular role of Raees Khan, a bootlegger with menacing looks and attitude. The trailer introduces SRK’s character in a grand manner. We first hear his dialogue, “Ammi jaan kehti thi koi b kaam chota nahi hota,” even as the visuals showcase his vast liquor business.

Seconds later, Nawazuddin is seen warning Raees (SRK) against his illegal business. The 2.46-minute long video promises a well-packaged entertainer - it has SRK romancing Mahira, Khan playing a grey character and powerhouse actors Nawazuddin, Atul Kulkarni and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub in supporting cast.

With the trailer teasing a powerful face-off between Nawaz and SRK, we expect fireworks. Remember the Salman-Nawaz face-off in Kick (2013)? Raees should be as entertaining, if not more.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees is set for a theatrical release on January 25, 2017.
