Highlight Story

Winning the hearts of critics and masses alike, Deepika-Ranveer starrer Ram-leela has started on an impressive note. The movie that has been made on a budget of approx Rs 35 cr, has amassed over Rs 15 crore on Friday.

"Ram Leela Fri Rs 15.25 cr and counting. Some cinemas were closed and shows at few cinemas were disturbed and suspended due to protests," tweets trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Fighting all odds, the Bhansali's latest offering has collected a good number, owing to the positive word of mouth.

"Point to be noted is that the advance booking for Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela was affected due to the legal issues and uncertainty over its release. Despite that, the opening has been very good, while the current bookings are witnessing ample footfalls to ensure a strong total. The business on Saturday and Sunday is only expected to get bigger, since the word of mouth and reviews have been marvelous," writes Adarsh for Bollywood Hungama.
