Bombay Velvet star cast gave a taste of 'Hindi Jazz' to Goa when theactors Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, along with director Anurag Kashyap, producer Vikas Bahl and the complete crew of the movie visited Panaji.
While Ranbir Kapoor flaunted his moves at the stage, Anushka Sharma joined singer Neeti Mohan and the duo set the stage for an evening of songs, dance and merry.
The trio of composer Amit Trivedi, lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya and singer Neeti were on Monday night a riot on stage at a south Goa resort, where media persons from across four cities have congregated for a Bombay Velvet promotional event.
Ranbir was at his charming best as he danced away with scribes, while Anushka, Karan Johar and director Anurag Kashyap also let themselves loose. After Neeti, who is the voice of Anushka's character Rosie Noronha - a jazz singer in the film, enthralled the crowd with power-packed numbers like Mohabbat Buri Bimari, Naak Pe Gussa, Behroopia and Sylvia, it was time for some more fun.
"Some songs lead to a catharsis," Neeti said, thanking the composer and director for giving her a project like Bombay Velvet. As the fun gained momentum, Trivedi and Bhattacharya belted out songs from Dev.D, Chillar Party and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.
A highlight was Queen director Vikas Bahl, who seemed to be enjoying the celebrations thoroughly. And why not? He was coming straight after receiving his National Award for the Kangana Ranaut starred film.
Karan Johar, too, couldn't resist dancing, and he danced to the tunes of Auntyji.
Co-produced by Vikas Bahl and Vikramaditya Motwane of Phantom Films and Fox Star Studios, Bombay Velvet hits theatres on May 15.
