Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone shared quite a chemistry at the trailer launch of Tamasha. The actors were seen whispering to each other and laughing at each other's jokes. Ranbir also praised Deepika and said, 'I hope her luck works on me.'

Have three consecutive flops chipped away at Ranbir Kapoor's confidence? The star, who was touted to be the next big thing in Bollywood before being hit by a spate of flops, made a telling comment at the trailer launch of his upcoming film Tamsha.

When asked whether co-star and former girlfriend Deepika Padukone would prove lucky for him, he said, "It is not fair to label anyone as lucky charm. Deepika has worked very hard to be here (in the top). She is a dedicated person. I do hope her luck works on me and not mine on her in Tamasha." he also went on to praise the Piku star and how she inspires him..

After a long gap, Deepika and Ranbir are back together with this romantic drama. While Deepika is having a good run at the box office with back to back hit films, Ranbir's last few films - Besharam, Roy and Bombay Velvet - have failed to catch viewers' attention.

was also launched on digital mediums and it was soon getting widely discussed on social media. The chemistry between Ranbir and Deepika definitely strikes through but perhaps some might consider it a tad emotional. "It's very good. It depends on Tamasha. If the film becomes successful then everyone would be happy to see our pairing," Ranbir said.

Both of them were last seen in Karan Johar's home production film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, which turned out to be a hit and their on-screen chemistry was appreciated. The Rockstar actor said it is inspiring to work with

her. "Deepika and I worked in the second film of our career Bachna Ae Haseeno and then after a long time, we worked together in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and now Tamasha," he said.

"I have seen her growth as an actress. There is so much to learn from her. It is not only heart-warming but inspiring and encouraging to work with her," he said.

Though his last few films have not done well, doesn't feel the pressure for his next film. "There is lesser pressure as we have talented people like Deepika and Imtiaz on board for Tamasha. Imtiaz Ali always brings the best in me and so is the case with Deepika. I have less pressure when I am working with them," he said.

On the title of the film, Ranbir says, "We are in showbiz... Tamasha can be good or bad. But there has to be limit to it. I have earlier worked with Deepika and Imtiaz and I have had a great experience. With Rockstar I learnt a lot of things," he said.

About the tagline, 'Why always the same story?', the film's director Imtiaz Ali said: "Sometimes the same kind of events occur in life and then we blame our circumstances for it and say that this is how life is. You never become who you are really as an individual. And the same story repeats for you, unless you take control of your life. You change that by saying that you're not enjoying matters and that you'll make your own endings in life, that's when a different kind of 'tamasha' takes place."

Tamasha, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, is slated to release on November 27.
