Rani Mukerji appeals for basic facilities for female cops

The actor wants basic facilities to be provided to female officers at police stations in the country

Looks like Rani Mukerji, who will be seen playing a tough cop in , wants to do her bit for female officers across the country.



We’ve been told that the actor will soon appeal to police commissioners across multiple cities to ensure that basic facilities are provided to women cops at stations.

A source close to the actor reveals, "She wants female officers to be given basic amenities such as washrooms. When Rani was preparing for her role of a

, she had visited various police stations to absorb the atmosphere there and get a sense of how things work. On these visits, she was surprised and taken aback to find out that the female officers did not even have basic facilities like separate washrooms."

The source goes on to add that upon seeing these conditions, Rani decided to put in a word to ensure that the necessary facilities would be provided to these female cops in the future.



The source adds, "She feels that since there are women officers holding top posts in the department, they should be able to put some pressure too and ensure that it is implemented soon. It is an extremely important matter, according to her, and it requires immediate attention."
