Actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are known to share a friendly equation with the crew members on the sets of their films. And now, we’ve been told that recently, the two stars, along with their director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, observed the roza (day-long fast during the holy month of Ramadan) for one day on the sets of their upcoming film, Ram Leela.
A source close to the film’s team says, “Many members of the cast and crew were fasting as it’s the period of Ramadan. So for one day, even the lead pair along with Bhansali decided to fast.”
The source adds that as part of a tradition, the entire crew sits together for iftari (breaking of fast at sundown). But this time, the trio joined them as well.
For the iftar party on Monday evening lots of food and fruits were brought in. “They all took a long break, chatted for a while and resumed shooting afterwards. Since they’ve all been working together for so long now, they’ve formed a really close bond. The team has been working on tight schedules and fixed deadlines and this get-together was a refreshing break for everyone,” adds the source.
