Actor Raveena Tandon, 36, is ready to make a comeback in Bollywood with Gin Liya Aasman, being directed by Rishi Deshpande and produced by Mudassar Aziz and Anil Bohra.
The film is the story of a six-year-old boy whose father, a Naval officer, went missing since a plane crash and the kid has been told that his father lives in the sky. He starts believing it and thinks that his father is responsible for the monsoon season and believes he will come to meet him during his vacations.
Raveena, who is playing the boy’s mother in the film, is upbeat about making her comeback with this film. Interestingly, Mudassar said that he had actor Sushmita Sen in mind when he wrote the film, but later went ahead and signed Raveena after his break-up with Sush.
Says a source, "It’s a very good script but since the equation between them has now changed, Mudassar decided on Raveena instead of taking Sushmita in lead. It is not a regular run of the mill kind of role for an actor."
All we can say is Sushmita’s loss is Raveena’s gain.
