Remo’s real story
Director-choreographer Remo D’Souza feels his dance 3D flick is close to his life in many ways, says script for FALTU sequel is ready.bollywood Updated: Apr 07, 2012 13:54 IST
Choreographer and director Remo D’Souza, who is on the verge of wrapping up his dance 3D film Any Body Can Dance (ABCD), says that he is also ready with the script for the sequel of his last hit, F.A.L.T.U. “We have already started working on that. The story has been locked and the dialogue is being written,” says the director.
However, Remo may not retain the entire cast of the original 2011 comedy except for Jackky Bhagnani, whose father Vashu Bhagnani is producing the film. “It’s a different story now,” says Remo.
Meanwhile, the director is racing to finish ABCD which, apparently, has strong references to his own life story. “You can relate this movie to my life. Everyone perceives dance in their own way. And what I believe is that everyone has a dancer in them,” says Remo. The film features south icon Prabhu Deva, choreographer Ganesh Acharya and American dancer Lauren Gottlieb from the reality show So You Think You Can Dance. “This is the toughest film for me because Prabhu and Ganesh are both big directors and choreographers. And Lauren is a world-class dancer,” he says.
Though you’d expect
differences in opinions when experts work together, Remo insists nothing affected the film. “When I felt they were right, I made changes. But when I asked them to do something, they respected my decision,” says Remo, who has also roped in Mithun Chakraborty for a cameo.
