Kangana Ranaut, who is the latest brand ambassador for feminism and women's empowerment in Bollywood might just have been part of a very sexist project! Nikhil Advani, the director of Katti Batti, said in an interview that the movie was earlier titled 'Saali Kutiya'.
Nikhil Advani told Hindustan Times, "When it came to me I loved it but I also felt it was way too gimmicky. It's not necessary at all. The film is about the ups and downs of a relationship and what really transpires in their lives and how it all gets resolved. So it was not necessary. So ya I loved it... but I also agreed why we should drop it."
Speaking at the launch of the first trailer for Katti Batti, Kangana Ranaut said on Sunday, ""When you date, marriage is not on your mind since first you don't have an understanding of the equation or the relationship. However, I am very open to timepass romance."
Directed by Nikhil Advani and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Katti Batti will release on 18th September.
