Bejoy Nambiar's upcoming film David which tells the story of three distinct individuals across three time zones sharing the same name has been inspired by real life incidents. Now we hear that the character Rohini Hattangadi plays in the film is inspired by the real life personality of Uma Bharti.

Rohini who plays a Hindu hardliner in the film believes that Catholics covert Hindu followers into Christianity. While in real life Uma Bharti, a BJP politician also had a similar point of view. In fact the makers have even incorporated a very high profile case of an Orissa priest being burnt alive into the story line.

David an action-thriller film directed by Bejoy Nambiar, starring Vikram, Vinay and Neil revolves around the lives of three different men named David, who are about to take a step which is going to change their lives forever. The film is set to hit theaters on February 1.
