Director Rohit Shetty, might be busy with Chennai Express which is releasing on August 9. But that didn’t stop him from helping out his friend Emraan Hashmi. Emraan’s next release, Shatir, with his Jannat 2 (2012) director Kunal Deshmukh’s, was facing some trouble with regards to the films name. The title was already registered with the production house Shree Ashtavinayak. But Rohit stepped in and helped resolve the issue amicably. “Since the title was registered with Shree Ashtavinayak, UTV might have landed in legal trouble as they decided to go ahead with the same title,” reveals a source from the trade. When Rohit learnt about this, he volunteered to have a word with Shree Ashtavinayak to get Kunal the rights for the title. “Rohit shares a great rapport with the production house as they financed his Golmaal franchise. So he solved the issue over an informal chat with the officials,” says the source. When UTV was contacted, they confirmed the development and also revealed that Rohit has got them the title for free. “When we mentioned the problem to Rohit, he was extremely helpful and he immediately spoke to Ashtavinayak to get us the title from them,” says Manish Hariprasad, creative producer of Disney-UTV.
