Meet the Reema Lagoo you didn’t know.

Bollywood actor Reema Lagoo, who died Thursday morning after a cardiac arrest in Mumbai, is best known as the onscreen mom of Salman Khan in Maine Pyar Kiya. Apart from her award-winning roles in Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Aashiqui, she has worked in a few movies that may not be on top of recall value among her fans.

Here’s a look at some of her roles in films lesser-known films:

Rihaee (1988)

Reema played a mother to two boys in the film that starred Naseeruddin Shah, Vinod Khanna and Hema Malini in lead roles.

Rui Ka Bojh (1997)

Reema played the daughter-in-law to Pankaj Kapur. Kapur is a self-respecting, wise old man who divides his property amongst his family. After staying with his youngest son and daughter-in-law for some time, he does not get along with them and renounces the mortal world forever, shifting to a temple. It is on his way to the temple that he changes his mind and recalls the affection which his family gave him and comes back.

Aunty No 1 (1998)

She played a small role of the real Maharani Kanaklakshmi of Kanda. Before her graceful entry, Govinda takes upon the persona of the queen and tries to help his friends. Contrary to her usual roles, Reema had a small romantic sequence with Saeed Jaffrey in the film .

Vaastav: The Reality (1999)

This may not qualify as “little-known” but is clearly one of the strongest characters Reema played in her Bollywood career.

Main Hoon Part-Time Killer (2015)

Previously titled Main Hoon Rajinikanth, the film was a spoof that faced legal troubles due to the name that was eventually changed before the release. Reema played herself in the spoof in the film directed by Faisal Saif and parodied her own characters.
