Jacqueline Fernandez says she owes her success to her own personal decisions Bollywood beauty, Jacqueline Fernandez, has dismissed rumours that Housefull 2 director, Sajid Khan is mentoring her.
“There has always been a reason for my action. I am not from this industry and I have made my movies and career choices completely on my own. When it comes to these things, I don’t take advice. I don’t have mentors. Sajid Khan is not my mentor. People are very quick to take the credit, but are not quick to take the blame,” she says.
The actor adds that it was sheer bad luck because of which she had to miss out on Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish 3. “It was an unfortunate clash of dates. I had to make the decision and both parties involved tried hard to make it work, but it didn’t happen. It’s my bad luck due to which I couldn’t do Krrish 3,” says the 26-year-old.
Another offer that the actor turned down was filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s movie, Raaz 3. “Unfortunately, you tend to get stereotyped in the industry and that was the major concern for me. When Murder 2 released, there were a lot of offers coming my way...when we got into the later stages of finalisation of Raaz 3, I just was not comfortable. I felt I have done it in Murder 2, so it’s time to move on,” the actor adds.
Jacqueline, who made her filmy debut with the film Aladin in 2009, calls her upcoming film, Housefull 2, “a major relief.” She says, “It’s a different genre. My role is more Indianised.” The film is scheduled for an April 5 release.
