Actor Sakshi Tanwar, who shot to fame with her role of Parvati Bhabhi in television show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, is all set for her upcoming Bollywood film Mohalla Assi opposite actor Sunny Deol. Interestingly, Tanwar, 38, has replaced Dev D fame actor Mahie Gill, 35, for the role of Sunny Deol’s wife in the film.



Talking about her role in the movie, Sakshi, who made her film debut in Pritish Nandy’s Saluun, says, "I am playing Sunny’s wife in the film. She is someone who has many shades. I believe lot of women will relate to her. It was an exciting role for me as I have never done it before."



On her experience of working with Sunny, she says, "He is so professional. The best part about working with him was that I never felt that I Sakshi Tanwaram working with a big star. He really made me comfortable during the shoot."



So, is she going to concentrate more on films now? To this sakshi who considers Balaji as family, says, "I would balance both mediums. My roots are in TV and I can’t cut that completely. Doing films is part of my growth and the fact that I am getting film quality offers is very encouraging and overwhelming."



This also explains her return to small screen with Sony’s new show, Bade Acche Laggte Hain, after almost a year. About the show Sakshi says, "I play a character of a 30 plus girl called Priya. She is very happy-go- lucky and has a positive approach towards life. Her being unmarried is a cause of concern for her family but she believes in living life to the fullest."



So, did Sakshi face issues due to popularity? She says, "I will be always thankful for Parvati and never blame it for anything."
