Hollywood star Salma Hayek has expressed her best wishes to Bollywood star Akshay Kumar for his latest release Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.

The 50-year-old actor posted on Twitter, “Good luck to @akshaykumar on @ToiletTheFilm out today! End #OpenDefecation now! No woman should fear going to the toilet! #ToiletEkPremKatha”.

Akshay, who met Hayek last year in Dubai at the Global Teachers Prize 2016, thanked the actor for supporting the initiative. “Thank you for your wishes for our small effort towards #GoingODF : #ToiletEkPremKatha,” he replied.

Interestingly, even the official handle of United Nations, Environment, also tweeted about the film. “Open defecation = a health concern that touches nearly a billion lives, @akshaykumar & @psbhumi address this global issue in @ToiletTheFilm,” the tweet said.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and backed by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. Set against the backdrop of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the movie also features Bhumi Pednekar and Anupam Kher.
