He is yet to make his Bollywood debut, but Sooraj Pancholi is currently embroiled in a legal battle for allegedly abetting the suicide of late actor Jiah Khan.
However, he’s going all out to prepare for his role — the lead in the remake of Subhash Ghai’s Hero (1983) — which is being co-produced by Salman Khan. A source reveals that Sooraj is working around the clock — attending dance classes, martial arts sessions and going to the gym. He is also taking acting classes to hone his skills. Apparently, the Dabangg (2010) actor is also mentoring Sooraj in this groundwork for the character. “Salman and Sooraj are in touch with each other. They keep messaging and talking on the phone. I am also in touch with Salman. By the grace of God, everything is going well,” he says.
The film will also see Suniel Shetty’s daughter, Athiya, making her Bollywood debut. The project will reportedly go on the floors in February next year.
