His ripped muscles have got him quite some fans, including Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Actor Harun Kazi recently made his Bollywood debut with Jai Ho, opposite Salman, in a negative role. And he is delighted that his first role had negative shades.
“I am happy that I got the negative role, because such roles have a lot of scope to show emotions and intensity. Good boy roles are so boring,” he beams.
The 30-year-old model was spotted by Sohail Khan, producer and director of Jai Ho, at a gym in Mumbai. “We go to the same gym. One day, Sohail sir came to me and asked me if I was interested in doing a movie. I agreed. So, he called me for a screen test to see how I looked on camera. He told me I’d be trained and the next thing I know — I was busy training for martial arts and acting. All this while, I didn’t know what role it was or which movie. After a few months, I was called for another screen test and I got the negative role, opposite Salman,” shares Harun.
Working with Salman is every newcomer’s dream. But Harun’s reason to be happy goes beyond that. “Salman bhai is so generous and kind. He is talking about me in various interviews. And suddenly, there are so many friend requests and followers on Facebook and Twitter,” he says.
He goes on to describe Salman. “He is so warm and helpful that you want to call him ‘Bhai’. And he’d also share his diet food with me. We also went to his house for lunch. And I was floored to see that such a big star lives in such a simple manner. I learnt a lot from him,” says Harun, who’s getting many offers post his first film. But he’d talk about them only when things get finalised.
