Eli Avram and Salman Khan’s camaredierie on a reality show hosted by the latter is known to all. She may not have won the show, but a year later, the Swedish-Greek actor confirms that she is in talks with him for one of his future projects.
“Yes, I’m in touch with Salman. He has planned something with me,” reveals the 24-year-old, who made her Bollywood debut with Mickey Virus last year. She, however, remains guarded about the plans, so when prodded if she’ll be seen as Khan’s leading lady, she giggles, saying, “I can’t talk much about it, but there is definitely something.”
Salman not only roped in his own manager to look after her work, but his and Avram’s chemistry became the talking point after he went on record comparing her mannerisms, especially her broken-Hindi accent, with his ex, actor Katrina Kaif. “My Hindi has improved a lot. In fact, I now find is easier to talk in Hindi than English,” insists Avram, who’ll be seen shaking a leg with actor Sophie Choudry as a guest in an ongoing dance reality show that was, in fact, offered to her earlier (as a regular contestant).

“I was not ready for it as I’m not in this kind of a space right now … I’m doing a lot of things including perfecting my Hindi and taking up private acting sessions, and films are my priority now. It would have been difficult to balance a movie career and the tough dance rehearsal schedules. But coming on this platform as part of the teen ka tadka theme was exciting as it was just for a day,” explains Avram, whose friendship with wrestler Sangram Singh and VJ Andy during the reality show became popular. “I’m still in touch with both of them, but more with Andy because he is my neighbour and we catch up regularly. Sangramji lives far away so we talk once in a while. We all even caught up at (actors and co-contestants) Tanisha (Mukerji) and Armaan’s (Kohli) party,” she says.
