Bollywood star Salman Khan tweeted a picture of The Kiss of Life, a book co-authored by Emraan Hashmi about his son’s battle with cancer. Calling it sweet, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor shared the cover of the book that will be released by DelhI chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on April 7 in the national capital.
Emraan Hashmi’s son, Ayaan, unveiled the first copy of the memoir. The actor co-authored the book, titled The Kiss of Life-How a Superhero & My Son Defeated Cancer with Bilal Siddiqi.

Emraan posted a video on his Facebook page where his six-year-old son, who is the `superhero’ in reference, proudly read out the title of the book after unwrapping it. Ayaan was wearing a blue Star Wars T-shirt in the video.
Published by Penguin, the book traces the effect the disease has on a child and his emotional journey through diagnosis, treatment, to now being cancer-free for 2 years. The Kiss of Life is about an actor and a father’s trials and triumphs and how he coped with his son’s illness.
Bilal Siddiqi, who has co-authored the book with Emraan, is a twenty-one year old writer based in Mumbai. He wrote his first book at the age of 20 in 2014, The Bard of Blood. The film rights of The Bard of Blood have been sold to Junglee Pictures. Bilal also works as a creative executive with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Kolkata Knight Riders. He is currently working on the scripts of two films.
