Today, August 5, marks the 20th anniversary of the 1994 hit film, Hum Aapke Hain Koun…! (HAHK). And to celebrate the occasion filmmaker

Sooraj Barjatya

and Salman Khan have decided to have a reunion of sorts.

An industry insider reveals, “Both of them are currently shooting for their upcoming film, which is a family drama, in Karjat. So, they will be having lunch party on the sets. A few members from the unit of HAHK will be present (many still work with Barjatya), and they will all be joined by the filmmaker’s family members too.”

Interestingly, like in HAHK,

Salman’s

character in the upcoming film is also called Prem.

The source adds that Barjatya had initially planned to bring the entire cast of HAHK together for the reunion. But it was almost next to impossible, given the hectic schedules of all the actors who were part of the film.

“Ensuring the presence of every actor from the film would have been a painstaking process. Hence, the small celebration.”

When contacted, Barjatya’s spokesperson confirmed the news.

Meanwhile, Madhuri Dixit who played Nisha in the film also tweeted congratulations to Barjatya. She mentioned the film's hit number Badhai Ho Badhai in the tweet.

Talking about the film, Renuka Shahane said, “For the death scene of my character, Sooraj ji got the flight of stairs padded with sponge, so that I don’t get hurt while rolling down. It became so smooth that I had to ‘act’ while hitting my head. Since the film had a huge cast, we would have fun on the sets. We’d play a lot of dumb charades and mimic each other.
