Salman Khan has confirmed he plans to produce the Bollywood debut of brother-in-law Ayush Sharma.

Bollywood star Salman Khan is reportedly planning to launch his brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma in Bollywood with a love story. Salman took to Twitter to congratulate sister Arpita Khan Sharma’s husband while a photo showing him and the Tubelight actor together was doing the rounds online.

The yet-to-be-titled film will be reportedly helmed by debutant Abhiraj Minawala, former assistant of director Ali Abbas Zafar. Salman also confirmed the news to an English daily saying, “Yes, we are producing Aayush’s debut film. Shooting will start in February and we’ll release the film later in 2018.”

Salman wrote, “Congrats @aaysharma Now is the time for a lot of mehnat aur lagan. Wish you all success God Bless #AayushSharma”.

Earlier, Aayush had earlier told HT about his Bollywood ambitions. “I would definitely like to pursue a career in Bollywood, but on my own terms. It’s a misconception that he (Salman) is launching me. Also, age is on my side and, God willing, I’d like to explore all opportunities given to me. For now, I’m training to become an actor,” he told the daily just a few days before his wedding with Arpita.

When Salman’s sister Arpita married Aayush in November 2014, rumour mills were abuzz with claims that the star would launch him in Bollywood sooner or later. Earlier this year, reports claimed that Aayush might be planning a Bollywood debut opposite Salman’s ex-girlfriend, Katrina Kaif in Raat Baaki. The film would be directed by debutant Aditya Dhar and produced by Karan Johar, a Mid Day report claimed.
