Even as Sanjay Leela Bhansali released the first look of his upcoming movie Ram Leela, trouble seems to be mounting for the Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer.
Abhyankar was quoted by Mid-day saying, "I think it is the height of arrogance... I was making the film with UTV and we had even signed actors like Naseerbhai, Dharamji, etc. However for some reason it did not go on the floors and we parted ways in 2010. Now, I am making the film with some other producers. The title is registered with me and no one can claim it."
When Abhyankar told Bhansali about the title, he was assured that it was only a working title and the final one would be different, the Mid-Day report says. According to the report, Bhansali holds the title close to himself apparently because it has his mother's name - Leela.
Mukul Abhyankar said, talking to Mid-Day, "“Someone in his office told me that the title is extremely dear to Bhansali since it includes his mother’s name (Leela). In that case, my mother’s name is Kamal, should I be gifted the Raj Kamal banner?”
As per the report, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has even offered monetary compensation to Abhyankar for the title. However, Abhyankar declined the offer.

Although not much has been revealed about the story of Ram Leela but the picture suggests it has violence and romance at the same time. It has an interesting tagline which says 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela...Ram Leela'. READ ON

Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone's secret date on New Year

The tabloid quoted a source saying, “The location was chosen keeping in mind that Dippy’s pad is in central Mumbai. Ranveer is a suburb guy but he doesn’t mind travelling across the city. They are good friends."
