Rajkumar Hirani’s next — a biopic on Sanjay Dutt — has been in the news for a while now. Recently, Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Dutt in the film, was snapped on the sets sporting long locks with a beefed-up body. Ranbir’s uncanny resemblance to Dutt took the internet by storm, and created immense anticipation among moviegoers. The latter, too, was taken aback when he saw the picture that went viral on the Internet. And now that the film has announced a Christmas release, Dutt is getting anxious with each passing day.

A source says, “On seeing Ranbir’s pictures, Sanjay was absolutely amazed. The idea of the biopic being made was a thought that was being talked about. But now that the pictures have surfaced on the internet, the reality of the movie being made and taking shape, in order to take his story to the audience, is seeping in. He is getting anxious as to how people will react to the story.”

When asked if Ranbir’s got his mannerisms right, Dutt says, “It is really amazing. Ranbir’s pretty much there and it’s unbelievable what he’s doing. I feel Ranbir’s one of the best actors we have, and to top that, there’s Raju Hirani.”

It was recently revealed that Ranbir Kapoor will be donning six looks in the film. The looks will vary from the ones in his movies such as Rocky (1976) and Khalnayak (1993), to name a few. He will also don Sanjay’s look while he was in prison, along with a few other of the actor’s off-screen looks.
