Actor Vivek Oberoi and filmmaker Sanjay Gupta have been involved in a battle of words ever since the actor left Gupta’s project, Shootout at Wadala. While Gupta alleged unprofessionalism on Oberoi’s part claiming that he did not get back after reading the script, the actor said that he didn’t like the role. Gupta has now gone a step further, calling the actor a “joke”.

“It is because of the ridiculous and stupid things Vivek has been saying. He said ‘I forgive Sanjay’. Is he in a position to?” he says, adding, that the actor “played games” with him . “His secretary was discussing dates and money with us and this guy was dilly dallying. We got sick and tired of waiting for him to revert,” he says.

Reacting to industry buzz that Oberoi opted out of the film as he didn’t want a role that was not as meaty as actor John Abraham’s, he says, “How can he expect to be on the same footing as John? John is an actor who commands 10 crore. Vivek doesn’t even get R50 lakh. This is ridiculous. Tomorrow, he will compare himself to Shah Rukh Khan.” Oberoi remained unavailable for comment.
