A few days ago, she attracted attention with her sultry Bollywood number, I’ll Do The Talking in Saif Ali Khan’s Agent Vinod. And now, Saif has roped in Malika, the elder sibling of model Lisa Haydon, for another special number in his spy thriller.
Malika’s new song is titled Pyaar Ki Pungi, and has been crooned by singer Mika. “The number will feature Malika and Saif. It’s being shot like a music video with a lot of colour, style and sultry dance moves. Malika has done a wonderful job again. All of us, including Saif, are happy with her,” says a source in the Agent Vinod unit.
Apparently, the new song is being shot at Film City, Goregaon. “Yes, the Agent Vinod makers are shooting another song with Malika. ‘I’ll do the talking...’ is doing well for them. So, they thought of coming up with another number with her,” says Atul Kasbekar, CMD of Bling! Entertainment Solutions, that manages Malika’s career.
Kasbekar, in fact, also shot Malika for the 2012 edition of the Kingfisher Calendar. In the past, the half-Indian, half-Australian model has worked with designers like Tarun Tahiliani and Rohit Bal, besides doing fashion shows for hairdressers Toni & Guy and Brazilian designer Jatali. “Ever since Malika’s first song came out, everyone has been asking about her. For me, her USP is her radiant beauty and elegant sexiness. You will find her sexy, but with loads of niceness,” says Kasbekar.
Earlier, at 19, Malika featured in a Pepsi commercial with cricketing legends like Shane Warne and Sachin Tendulkar. But soon, she moved to Australia for further studies. It’s believed that a number of filmmakers have shown interest in roping in Malika for their films. “Besides her work in Bollywood, Malika will also be the showstopper at a major fashion show in Delhi,” says Kasbekar.
