Bouyed by the film’s success, director Sanjay Kandhuri is making a sequel with Vivek Oberoi. A source says the sequel will be a commercial comical thriller based in Delhi. “I have finalised Vivek for my next film but it’s too soon to give more details,” Kandhuri says.

Actor Eesha Koppikhar has announced a sequel to her film, that didn’t do well at the box office due to poor publicity. To make sure the film is noticed this time around, Eesha will also produce the film this time. The film was a woman-centric project and she played the role of a woman who runs a crime racket from a Mumbai chawl. “The script has a lot of potential and director Lalit Marathe is working on it. Usually, makers replace female leads in the sequel, but director Anand Rai has retained Ranaut and replaced Madhavan with Shahid Kapoor in the sequel. Also, the lead characters will play double roles in the film. “I hope to recreate the same magic with the sequel,” Rai said.

On his 88th birthday last month, Dev Anand announced the sequel to his 1971 hit. “I am working on a fresh script titled Hare Rama Hare Krishna Aaj on audience demand. It’s not a remake but an extension of the film,” Anand said.

The film’s good run inspired makers for a sequel. All actors of the film will be repeated as will the director, Tigmanshu Dhulia. Producer Sunil Bohra says, “The budget will increase tremendously for the sequel.”

Filmmaker Vipul Shah announced the films’ sequel a week after its release on Sep 30. While director Nishikant Kamath and John have been retained, Genelia will be replaced with Vidya. “We are happy with the success of Force. I am keen on starting the sequel with John soon,” Shah said.
