Shirish Kunder, the co-producer of Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer Tees Maar Khan, is planning to team up with Akki again for the sequel, expected to go on floors in 2012.
Kunder and wife Farah Khan (right), the director of the movie, are busy with post-production work of the movie, which is eyeing a Christmas release this year. “We are going ahead with the next installment of Tees Maar Khan. This was always planned right from the time I started writing the film. We didn’t want to wait till the release of Tees Maar Khan and then make an announcement. I have already begun writing for Tees Maar Khan 2,” Kunder said. It is not clear whether Katrina and Akshaye Khanna would be seen in the second installment or not. Also, the film could be directed by Farah Khan again or Kunder himself. “All of that that would be decided once the script is in place. I am just getting into the first draft now. It would take some time before I have the bound script ready. I am targeting to kick start the shooting in 2012 once I am through with directing Joker, followed by Kick in 2011,” Kunder said.
His wife, Farah, meanwhile, wants to take a break after the film’s release. “I am sure that I’ll take a break once the film is released. My kids were with me during the time when I was directing the film, but still my mind was always occupied with something or the other related to the film. Now I want to take out time with them,” she said.
