Who wouldn’t like being paired with Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan in a film? At 23, Alia Bhatt has already been there, done that. “When I got to know (about starring with SRK in Dear Zindagi), I wasn’t really surprised, but glad,” she says, enamoured by the 51-year-old’s charm and humility. “You have to see the way he is on the sets. He’s the most cooperative and present actor I’ve worked with. He’s there in the moment — all the time.”

Alia admits that her previous co-stars such as Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and Arjun Kapoor have been fabulous too, but SRK remains at the top of his game.
“The way he deals with people, it’s unmatched. He’s always there to give cues to his co-stars and he’ll do it properly. One thing that really irritates me is when actors don’t give cues properly and that happens to me a lot. I just hate it. And I will land up shouting at most of the boys that ‘Give your cues properly otherwise don’t talk to me or go, sit somewhere else’.”
With Shah Rukh, there were no hassles at all. “He was always there for everyone, not just his co-stars. I was so overwhelmed to see this. I took inspiration from that and made it a point that I will continue to be that way in my career,” says Alia.
