We told you earlier that actor Shahid Kapoor and his fiancee, Delhi girl Mira Rajput, would wear colour co-ordinated clothes on their wedding. And now, Mumbai-based designer Kunal Rawal (left), a long-time friend and official couturier for the actor, reveals more about the groom’s wedding outfits, exclusively to HT City.

"We have created well over 10 outfits for the ceremonies. That includes a few western ensembles and a lot of ethnic wear such as kurtas, achkans and bandhgalas," says Rawal.

While Rawal remains tight-lipped about the specifics of the ceremonies and the wedding, he says, "Details about the event have been changing, but from our side we have kept ready a full wardrobe for as many functions. The wedding look for him could be a bandhgala, achkan or a sherwani."

Mira will reportedly wear clothes designed by Kolkata-based designer Anamika Khanna.

Shahid-Mira to wed in punjab?

Shahid and Mira are apparently not getting married in the Capital, as was being reported. A source says, “Since both the families are ardent followers of Radha Soami Satsang Beas, the wedding will also happen at Beas in Amritsar, Punjab, with their guruji’s blessings.” The wedding will be an intimate affair with about 40 people.

“Mira’s family left for Punjab on July 2 for the wedding preparations. However, not even family members know the date of the wedding,” the source adds. Later, the two families together will have a reception in a hotel in Gurgaon on July 7.
