Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha’s upcoming film will have plenty of action on the big screen. But as it turns out, there was a lot of action on the sets too. During a schedule of R… Rajkumar on the island of Khai in Thailand, the lead actors had to be rescued in a chopper after the crew was alerted about an imminent storm.

Since they had received news of the storm from the coastal authorities, the film’s makers didn’t want to take a chance. “We got an alert from them that the storm might hit after 5 pm, so we needed to wrap up the shoot as early as possible. The actors even skipped their lunch breaks to finish the schedule in time. We arranged for a chopper to rescue Shahid and Sonakshi to avoid any risk,” says producer Viki Rajani.

While the actors were flown back in the chopper, other safety arrangements were made for the rest of the crew that was on the island. Rajani adds, “It was raining and there was high tide, but luckily, there was no storm. We made arrangements for the unit to stay there for a while. They returned later in boats.”
