Actor Shiv Pandit, who is making his big screen debut in Anurag Kashyap’s forthcoming production Shaitan, has already become popular among audiences for his maiden moves in the movie. Especially, the intimate scenes with the newly-wed producer’s wife, Kalki Koechlin, are raking gossip.
“I don’t know what the scene actually looks like, as I haven’t seen the edit. But Kalki and my character share a lot of stimulating scenes that suggest romance, but these are not bold or intimate,” says the actor.
Pandit is known for his role in SAB TV’s comedy show FIR, where he played a cop who is repulsed by the advances of a lady cop. Playing his earlier character’s anti-hero in Shaitan was not difficult. “There was no nervousness. Kalki is a chilled-out and confident actor,” says Pandit, 29, whose Tamil debut Leelai is up for release.
Pandit’s impromptu liplock with co-star Neil Bhoopalam in Shaitan is also making news. “We were just being director’s actor. The scene symbolises ‘no holds barred’ theme of the movie,” says the actor, who does not want to rush into any future projects.
