Actors Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s next, based on Chetan Bhagat’s book Half Girlfriend, is being shot in Delhi University’s North campus. On Saturday morning, Shraddha shot a rain sequence at St. Stephen’s college amid tight security. Arjun, too, was supposed to be there but he cancelled his shoot as his maternal grandmother, Sattee Shourie, died on Friday night.
A crew member on the sets told us, “Shraddha and Arjun dono ko shoot karna tha aaj, but Arjun ke ghar mein kisi ki death hogayi hai. So woh nahi aaya hai.” Another crew member said, “Initially they were planning to cancel the shoot for today but then they decided to shoot Shraddha’s part, a rain sequence.”
The sequence, which is part of a song, was being shot in the hostel corridor. Bhagat, who is one of the producers of the film, was also present on the sets. Since the hostel is closed due to summer vacations, only those with an identity card were allowed in the college premises and security had been beefed up. People wanted to click pictures on their cell phones but they were not allowed. “Photo nahi kheech sakte, video nahi le sakte. Film ka look leak ho jaayega,” the security told people.
