Highlight Story

A senior actor like Anil Kapoor who has been part of many big budget films and explored a variety of genres, doesn’t dole out praise for just anything.

So when he shot a couple of stunt scenes for filmmaker Sanjay Gupta’s next crime drama, Shootout At Wadala, he came away impressed and didn’t hesitate to spread the word. The scene, which was shot at Dhobi Ghat, required Anil to run through narrow lanes which were extremely slippery (as the area is used by washermen).

A source says, “Anil kept wondering how Sanjay would manage shooting the scene, but was impressed to see that the director had ensured that the shoot area was as dry as possible. He shot the chase sequence extra carefully.” Anil, in fact, feels that this particular scene is one of his best. “It’s an action-packed sequence. It will be considered one of the best sequences of my career. If there is any scene that has been shot so well by any director, it is this one.”

A major part of Shootout At Wadala has been shot in real locations like Dongri and Byculla. The film will hit theatres on May 3.
