Shreyas Talpade imitates Big B
Shreyas Talpade imitates Big B’s cult image of a coconut seller to woo his lady love in his next movie, Hum Tum Shabana.
Remember the famous song Tane Din Tandana from 1982 film Desh Premee where Amitabh Bachchan tries to woo Hema Malini in the garb of a coconut seller? Well, fans of the film have a special treat in store as Shreyas Talpade will be seen in a fun re-creation of the role for his upcoming film Hum Tum Shabana.
The entire look has been styled based on Big B’s costume, with a similar miniature goatee, black belt and dhoti. The title song of the movie will see Talpade trying to woo Minissha Lamba, donning the same coconut seller avatar.
“The song Hey Na Shabana is the fun title track of the film wherein Minissha is angry and Talpade is trying to appease her. In the process he does anything and everything. So we had an idea to style the song using Bollywood’s cult images.
That led to Talpade dressed as Bachchan’s cult coconut seller avatar,” says producer Sunil Chainani. “The song is sure to garner a lot of laughs,” he adds.
Hum Tum Shabana, which also stars Tusshar Kapoor, is a love triangle about two guys (Tusshar and Shreyas) and their rivalry to court the same girl (Minissha) which lands them into a crazy contest of epic proportions. The roller coaster comic caper is slated to release on September 23.
