Despite being a part of the industry for over six years now, actor Lisa Haydon still finds it difficult to pronounce some Hindi words. While working on her latest project, a web series titled The Trip, the actor found a good Hindi teacher in co-star Shweta Tripathi.
According to sources, Lisa couldn’t get some of her dialogues right, and it was Shweta who came to her rescue. The film is based on four friends who go for a bachelorette party.
“Lisa is a very hardworking actor. She had the cutest pronunciations for some words and we would be in splits. And then we’d continue to say that word till she got it right. This way, she got few words perfect in no time. It was a fun experience for all of us in the crew,” says Tripathi, who has been part of films such as Trishna (2011), Masaan (2015) and Haramkhor (2015).
Lisa, who is born to an Australian mother and Tamilian father has lived most of her life in the United States and is also fluent in French. She made it a point to return the favour to Shweta.
“There are times when even Lisa gives Shweta French lessons and they are bonding really well while teaching each other these languages. This was a fun exercise for the entire team,” adds the source.
